This quick & easy recipe came from the kitchen of Lorraine Picot, a holistic registered nutritional consultant. It goes with her carrot cake recipe and can also be used as a spread. This purée freezes well or keeps in refrigerator for up to one week.

Ingredients

Dried dates or dried apricots 2 cups
Water 1 cup

Directions

  1. Rinse dried fruit well and soak overnight in water.
  2. Purée in blender or food processor until smooth.
