Carob Banana Shake
About
A great healthy breakfast shake! One of my favourites. Check out our almond milk recipe to make your own fresh batch. Serves one.
Ingredients
Fresh almond milk | 10 oz | |
Large frozen banana, broken into pieces | 1 ea | |
Protein powder, unsweetened, unflavoured | 1 - 2 Tbsp | |
High omega 3 oil | 2 tsp | |
Carob powder | 1 Tbsp | |
Extract flavouring (vanilla, almond, etc, optional) | 1 tsp |
Directions
- Place all ingredients into blender and blend on high speed until smooth.
- Pour into a 16-oz glass and enjoy.
Helpful Hints
- You can experiment by using a small banana and a handful of berries and by adding other supplements such as an unflavoured greens food powder.
- Choose a protein powder that works for your specific diet (hemp, rice, soy, whey, etc).
- Examples of high omega 3 oils include flax and hemp. You can
