Fruity Banana Breakfast Shake
Ingredients
Fresh pressed fruit juice of choice, unsweetened | 10 oz | |
Medium to large frozen banana | 1 ea |
Directions
- Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour into a 16 oz glass.
Helpful Hints
- Instead of a large frozen banana you can try a small banana with a handful of fresh or frozen berries of choice.
- If you want protein in your shake consider adding one or two of the following: 1 – 2 Tbsp unflavoured protein powder; 2 Tbsp sesame seeds or sesame meal; 1 – 2 Tbsp unsweetened, unflavoured yogurt; 1/4 cup firm silken tofu
- When using sesame seeds or sesame meal be sure to blend very well. You may find the shake has a little more texture with this ingredient, but in addition to protein it will add some non-dairy calcium to your breakfast.
