Rose Bath a la Cleopatra
About
This very romantic bath is perfect for Valentine’s Day. It smells heavenly, is great for the skin, and is almost as foamy as a bubble bath. The above Shutterstock photo shows a bath that is a bit more bubbly than this recipe but otherwise it is similar in look. Although this recipe was tested with a Vitamix, ideas for using a regular blender are included.

Helpful Hints
- For large deep tubs you may want to double this recipe.
- Use enough rose water or rose essential oil to create the scent you desire.
- Pure rose essential oil is called “Rose Absolute” and is very pricey. If you are on a budget, rose water such as Clic brand is a good option. You may also be able to find diluted rose oil which costs less than Rose Absolute.
- For a more decadent rose bath you can add 1/8 cup cocoa powder to the milk. This will make it seem like you are bathing in hot chocolate. A word of caution though . . . the cocoa powder could stain your tub. When this happened to me I removed it with with a mix of vinegar and baking soda.
- If this is a special bath for Valentine’s Day, consider placing a sweet snack beside the tub such as a bowl of fresh strawberries or some Chocolate Fruit Nuggets.
