Have a spa day at home with these four simple recipes using ingredients found in most kitchens. Great for Mother’s Day or any time you need pampering.

Avocado & Oat Facial Mask
Ripe avocado | 1 ea | |
Raw organic honey | 2 Tbsp | |
Uncooked oatmeal | 1/4 cup |
- Mix together all three ingredients.
- Apply a medium layer to your face.
- Let sit for 10 – 15 minutes.
The avocado and honey moisturize your dry skin while the oatmeal balances and calms.
Honey Lemon Sugar Scrub
Sugar | 1/2 cup | |
Sweet almond oil | 1/2 cup | |
Lemon juice | 4 tsp | |
Honey | 4 Tbsp | |
Lemon essential oil | 4 drops |
- First mix sugar and almond oil.
- Then add other ingredients and mix well.
- Polish your skin using mild pressure for 30 to 60 seconds.
- Wipe clean and rinse with lukewarm water.
This will gently exfoliate your skin leaving it soft and smooth.
Cucumber Parsley Facial Mask
Plain yogurt | 1 Tbsp | |
Cucumber | 1 tsp | |
Parsley | 1 tsp |
- Purée the cucumber and parsley until fine.
- Mix in the yogurt until smooth.
- Apply the mask and let sit for 15 – 20 minutes.
- Wipe clean and rinse with lukewarm water
This will rejuvenate your skin while it moisturizes.
Rose Water
Fresh organic rose petals | 1 cup | |
Distilled water | 1 cup |
- Place fresh petals in a bowl.
- Bring water to a boil and pour over rose petals. Steep for 30 – 60 minutes. Strain petals from liquid.
- Let cool completely in sealed jar, refrigerate overnight.
- Add to bathwater.
Rose water in the bath relieves fatigue and soothes skin.
