Mulled Apple Cider
About
Making a mulled apple cider is quite easy. Below is a recipe I created with just three simple steps. Served warm, with tasty warming spices, it provides comfort on cold days. Great for entertaining during the fall and winter months. Makes 4 litres.
Ingredients
Apple cider | 4 liters | |
Cinnamon stick | 1 ea | |
Nutmeg | 1 ea | |
10 ea | Cloves | |
Allspice | 10 ea | |
Fresh ginger root, coarsely chopped | 1 inch |
Directions
- In a large pot, mix cider and spices together.
- Over medium-low heat, warm until steam lifts quickly from surface for about 1 hour; do not let boil.
- Serve while still warm. Can be cooled, refrigerated and re-warmed.
