This is an old recipe from a women’s club in Kincardine, Ontario. An easy-to-make dish for those interested in trying wild game. This recipe can be made wheat-free or gluten-free by using appropriate bread crumbs.
Ingredients
Dry bread crumbs
3/4 cup
Milk
1 cup
Ground moose meat
1 1/2 lb
Onion, chopped & parboiled
1 ea
Eggs, slightly beaten
2 ea
Salt
1 tsp
Pepper
1/4 tsp
Sage
1/2 tsp
Sauce
Brown sugar
4 Tbsp
Ketchup
5 Tbsp
Nutmeg
1/2 tsp
Dry mustard
1 1/2 tsp
Directions
Soak crumbs in milk; add meat, eggs, onions and seasoning.
